Biography
Mario Garnica currently serves as the Department Chair of the Spanish Department at Potomac High School and brings 21 years of teaching experience. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in General Education with a concentration in Teaching from the Autonomous University of Yucatán.
After teaching for three years in Mexico, he moved to Louisiana, where he dedicated 14 years to Spanish language programs. In 2022, he relocated to Maryland, continuing his commitment to promoting the Spanish language and Hispanic culture.
He completed his Master’s degree at the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) and is now in the final phase of his Doctoral degree at the Universidad de las Américas y el Caribe, where he is currently writing his dissertation.
